The Apartment

The Apartment, which has been totally renovated and refurbished in 2008, is situated right in the village centre, just a minute's walk from the bar, restaurant and shops.

Our Aunt, Rosalind, lives in the Apartment below and, having lived in the village for many years (and speaking perfect French!) she will be able to offer you advice and information about the local area.
 
We have tried to retain the original character of the Apartment, whilst furnishing it in a modern, contemporary style - giving you the best of both worlds.

From the street entrance you come into what we call ‘the cave’ which is really a huge utility room! If you want to store any bikes or other equipment, this is the place. You then climb up the staircase to the Apartment, where there is another locking door.

In the Apartment, there are 2 bedrooms off the hall, one with a wonderful super-kingsized bed, the other with twin beds. Both have double glazed windows in the original French style, with shutters outside so that you can keep the windows open in the summer!

The main room is an open plan kitchen/living room which still has the wonderful original oak flooring - gloriously uneven and full of character! There are 2 settees, so room for 4 people to relax and there is a digital TV that can pick up English TV as well as French. On chilly evenings, light up the woodburner and just relax with a glass of the best French wine...
 
The new oak kitchen is compact, but provides everything you need to be able to enjoy your holiday, including an electric oven, hob, fridge with small freezer compartment, microwave, kettle and toaster. The table can be extended if you need more room and there are 4 chairs.
 
The shower room has an enclosed shower, toilet, basin and a heated towel rail.
 
The apartment has electric radiators in every room that have individual thermostatic controls - so you are in full control of the heating, and there is plenty of hot water for showers!
